Dr. Lindsay Riddick
Dr. Lindsay Riddick
Fear-Free Certified

Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, Dr. Lindsay Riddick was always surrounded by a montage of animals thanks to her animal loving parents. Her childhood was spent with a large variety of pets, both domestic and exotic. She became a veterinarian because it was just part of who she has always been, an animal care giver. After practicing at other clinics in central Texas, which were sold to large corporations, Dr. Riddick had a vision of creating a clinic of her own that was warm, welcoming and truly geared towards quality individualized patient care.

Dr. Riddick’s passion is to keep veterinary care high quality and personable. She understands the importance of getting to know every animal she sees and believes that developing a bond with the patient and its human counterpart is a highly effective tool for creating a tailored, long term health care plan. Dr. Riddick’s experience has taught her that a low stress atmosphere that keeps morale and comradery high is a key element in creating a healthy and happy environment for the pets and their people. Dr. Riddick dedicates Dogwood Animal Clinic to all the special animals, both past and present, that have been such an integral part of her life. She shares her life with her husband Charles, her two very special dogs, Ferdinand and Rumple, and her American Saddlebred, Joker.

Dr. Libby Rees
Fear-Free Certified

Dr. Libby Rees was born and raised in Louisiana. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she could remember. She grew up riding horses and competing in Hunter/Jumpers. Horses were not the only animals she adored, she raised pigs for 4-H, bottle-fed and raised orphaned calves, and always had a personal dog in addition to her family's Chocolate labs. She attended LSU school of veterinary medicine and after graduation decided to practice equine medicine. After 8 years, she expanded into small animal medicine where she began working at Emancipet. After a few years at Emancipet, she met Dr. Riddick at Dogwood Animal clinic and fell in love with the mission and values of the clinic.  In her free time, she hikes with her two dogs, Theo and Dr. Pancakes, and spends most of her time making sure they are living their best lives!

Dr. David Allman
Surgeon

Meet Dr. David Allman. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, he attended the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate student before heading off to Aggieland for veterinary school. During his 4 years at Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Allman realized his passion for veterinary surgery and committed to pursuing surgical specialization. By starting a mobile specialty surgery practice here in Austin, Texas, Dr. Allman is able to provide complicated surgical procedures to many pets that would not otherwise be able to receive specialty care. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Allman can be found enjoying the great outdoors, and exploring Austin with his wife, Summer. Occasionally, Dr. Allman is able to participate in the sport of golf where his patience and precision are tested before heading back to the surgical suite on Monday.
